Make a Difference as a CC4H Robotics Mentor

Centre County 4-H Robotics is actively recruiting volunteer mentors for the upcoming season. Read below for how you can help raise the next generation of innovators and leaders as a team mentor!

Why should I mentor?

  • Share the things you’re passionate about with the next generation.

  • Be a role model for youth learning STEM and professional skills.

  • Gain valuable volunteer experience.

  • Learn new skills and technologies.

  • Have a lot of fun along the way!

Who should mentor?

Anyone who wants to invest in the next generation of innovators is welcome to join as a mentor. Specifically, we are looking for any of the following:

  • College students or post-college adults

  • FIRST Robotics Alumni

  • People with technical skills (robotics, computer science, engineering, etc.)

  • People with professional/business skills (marketing, graphic design, video production, business development, etc.)

How do I mentor?

Let us know through the form below if you are interested in mentoring. Each of our teams has different needs and commitment levels, so we will work with you to find a place to fit in best:

  • FIRST Lego League (4th-6th grade): 1-2 hour per week commitment in the fall and winter.

  • FIRST Tech Challenge (6th-9th grade): 6-8 hour per week commitment in the fall and winter.

  • FIRST Robotics Competition (9th-12th grade): 6-12 hour per week commitment from January to March.
