Centre County 4-H Robotics entered two teams of elementary students in the CoderZ Sprint Challenge, a virtual robotics competition held in the spring. Our students worked together in teams to solve 22 virtual robotics challenges. We are proud to announce that among the 75 teams from across the Mid-Atlantic Region, our two CC4H teams ended up with second and third place. A huge congratulations to the students earning silver and bronze medals for all their hard work!
Our high school team participated in three different challenges of this year’s FIRST Robotics Competition Infinite Recharge @ Home. Teams designed their own pirate-themed FIRST game, pitched a prototype for the “Bike Buddy”, a smart bike helmet, and rebuilt their 2020 robot to compete in five skills challenges.
Congratulations to the team for their 3rd place finish in their division of 25 teams from across the country in the Skills Competition. Click below for some video highlights.
Our two middle school FIRST Tech Challenge Teams, Phobos Ares and Flex Force One, used both virtual and in-person meetings to design new robots from scratch for this year’s FTC Challenge.
Congratulations to second year team Phobos Ares for competing in the FTC district competition and qualifying for their remote Regional event!
